Cyber Clash: Samay Raina’s Virtual Plea Shot Down by Maharashtra Authorities – The Hidden Story!

Maharashtra’s cyber cell has denied comedian Samay Raina’s request to record his statement in the ‘India’s Got Latent’ controversy case virtually via videoconference, according to news agency ANI. The stand-up comedian made the request, stating that he is currently in the United States and will be unable to return to India until March 17 due to prior commitments.

However, the Maharashtra cyber cell denied Samay Raina’s request and instructed him to record his statement in person by Tuesday, February 18.

NCW issues new hearing date

Samay Raina and Apoorva Mukhija, aka the rebel kid, were summoned to appear before the National Commission for Women (NCW) via video conferencing on Monday. Comedian Jaspreet Singh and YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani were also summoned to appear before NCW.

The summons to the women panel were issued on February 11 in response to a case filed by the Maharashtra Police over podcaster and YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia’s controversial remark. He has not yet responded to these summons.

The NCW has scheduled new hearings after none of the accused appeared, according to ANI. While Ranveer Allahbadia, Apoorva Mukhija, Ashish Chanchlani, the show’s producer Tushar Poojari, and Saurabh Bothra were summoned on March 6, Samay Raina, Jaspreet Singh, and Balraj Ghai were summoned on March 11.

Comedian Samay Raina, content creator Apoorva Mukhija, and YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia are all facing multiple charges in Mumbai and Assam over Allahbadia’s comments on Raina’s YouTube show ‘India’s Got Latent’. Cases have been filed against the show’s other two panellists, Jaspreet Singh and Ashish Chanchlani, as well as its producers.

Following widespread outrage over Allahbadia’s remarks on the show, the dispute has escalated into a legal battle. Allahbadia has petitioned the Supreme Court for the consolidation of multiple FIRs against him. He will be represented by Abhinav Chandrachud, the son of former Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud.

Allahbadia has also apologised publicly for his comments twice on social media, and he has recently revealed that he is receiving death threats and is scared. He also claimed that people posing as patients broke into his mother’s medical clinic. However, he has complete faith in India’s judicial system.

So far, Apoorva Mukhija is the only accused panellist who has given her statement to Mumbai police at the Khar station.
