Tragic Confession: Union Minister Vaishnaw Concedes Deaths in New Delhi Station Stampede!”

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw expressed his sadness over the deaths caused by a stampede at the New Delhi Railway Station on Saturday evening.

Vaishnaw said on X, “I’m deeply saddened by the unfortunate stampede that occurred at New Delhi Railway Station.” My prayers are with everyone who has lost a loved one. The entire team is working to help everyone who has been affected by this tragic event.”

Previously, the Railway Ministry dismissed reports that anyone died in the stampede.

The Ministry has yet to release the death toll or the number of people rushed to hospitals with injuries.

Vaishnaw previously stated in a post on X that the situation at the New Delhi railway station (NDLS) was under control. Delhi Police and RPF arrived. The injured were taken to the hospital. Special trains are being used to evacuate a sudden rush.”

According to a Railway Board press release, at around 9.30 p.m. on Saturday, a “unprecedented rush” developed at New Delhi Railway Station near platforms 13 and 14.

“Due to the sudden surge in passengers, some people fainted, sparking rumours of a stampede-like situation and causing panic among travellers. The situation was eventually brought under control by reducing traffic congestion, according to the statement.

It added, “Northern Railways promptly operated four special trains to evacuate the unexpected rush.” As a result, the crowd is now significantly smaller.”

The Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Delhi Police transported the injured passengers to nearby hospitals, according to the report.

“Indian Railways has ordered a high-level enquiry into this unfortunate incident,” according to a press release.
